Breast Surgery to Correct Asymmetry
DocShop.com Tip: When one breast is larger than the other, the patient may undergo breast surgery to either reduce the size of the larger breast or augment the size of the smaller breast to create symmetry. The breast reduction surgery may include the removal of fat or breast tissue and may also include a breast lift to minimize sagging which may result from reducing the size of the larger breast. The breast augmentation surgery will likely include the use of saline or silicone implants to increase the size of the smaller breast so it is approximately the same size as the larger breast.
