Types of Breast Implants Available

In 1992, the Food and Drug Administration placed a ban on silicone gel implants making the use of them only permissible in a few specific situations. However, recently this ban has been partially revoked making the use of silicone gel implants permissible when they will be used in a breast reconstruction surgery or for breast augmentation surgeries with a patient who is over 22 years of age.
